NRG-Disc decoupling solution

With a new cord-reinforced flexible prop shaft coupling, called NRG-Disc (New Rubber Generation Disc), Vibracoustic offers carmakers a cost-effective alternative to a hardy disc for all-wheel and rear-wheel drive vehicles. It helps to minimize typical symptoms like clunk noises, declutch bumps or gear rattle noises, isolates torsional vibration occurring at the prop shaft and can also harmonize the torque ramp-up and compensate the axial displacement up to a cardanic angle of 4.5°. Mass production of the NRG-Disc just started for one of the most powerful and fasted mass-produced sedans with all-wheel drive, the BMW ALPINA B7 Bi-Turbo.
